Membership and eligibility requirements

Limited Partnership Membership

Any physician who is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin is eligible to join CCPA Purchasing Partners, L.P. as a limited partner. By definition, limited partners enjoy limited liability. The only exposure a physician or practice has as a limited partner is the initial dollar amount paid to join. The three partner categories are:

  • General Partner: CCPA (the IPA)
  • Member Limited Partner: belongs to both CCPA and CCPA Purchasing Partners
  • Non-Member Limited Partner: belongs solely to CCPA Purchasing Partners

To become a limited partner, a $10 initial capital contribution is required for each physician in a practice, and there are no annual dues.  Once a practice joins CCPA Purchasing Partners, they are linked to CCPA Purchasing Partner's vendor contracts.CCPA Purchasing Partners encourages its members to utilize all of its vendors for the discounts they offer, but it is not required.  As limited partners, practices are eligible to receive a financial administrative award each year based on their respective purchase volume with each vendor. Allowing practices to earn an annual financial administrative award is what sets CCPA Purchasing Partners apart from many other group purchasing organizations.

Please contact us for additional details on how to become a limited partner in CCPA Purchasing Partners.  Application materials are available online, or, upon request, we will mail your office a “Limited Partnership Subscription Packet,” which includes all the materials needed to join.

Associate Membership

Any health care provider (including but not limited to hospitals, clinics, and physician practices) located anywhere in the United States (including Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin) is eligible to join CCPA Purchasing Partners as an associate member. There is no cost to join CCPA Purchasing Partners as an associate member, and there are no annual dues. Once a health care provider joins CCPA Purchasing Partners, the provider is linked to CCPA Purchasing Partner's vendor contracts.  CCPA Purchasing Partners encourages members to utilize all of our vendors for the discounts they offer, but it is not required.  Although associate members cannot earn an annual financial administrative award, they are able to access the same savings and discounts as the limited partnership members.

Please contact us for additional details on how to become an associate member in CCPA Purchasing Partners. Application materials are available online, or, upon request, we will mail your office a Group Purchasing Participation Agreement which includes all the materials needed to join.
