Your support can truly make a difference
Because 85 percent of our funding comes from grants and private donations to provide HIV/AIDS services and research, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals, organizations and companies to support our important work. Because we have certain government grants and are affiliated with the hospital, these donations are used solely for program expenses, not departmental overhead (administrative) expenses. So more money is available for direct patient care and HIV services.
Here are several opportunities for you to make a real difference in the lives of our HIV/AIDS affected families.
The "Jenny Camp Fund"
The "Jenny Camp Fund" provides special support for our families, that includes:

CTA and METRA passes

Emergency cab fare to the hospital

Gas/maintenance for the van

Box-lunches for families during their outpatient visits

Emergency housing assistance

Memorial assistance

Prescriptions and nutritional supplements not covered by medical insurance

Payment of utilities in emergency situations
The Jenny Camp Fund is funded completely through individual and organizational donations, and greatly improves the quality of life for our patients.
The TARSYA Research Fund
The TARSYA Research Fund was established to support the many laboratory and administrative aspects of providing cutting edge clinical research that aren't always supported by government or industry sources. These include:

Special laboratory equipment for HIV-related research

Laboratory tissue samples and testing supplies

Research associates

Development of simplified diagnostic tests for HIV
