Your child's first appointment

Thank you for choosing us for your child's healthcare needs. Here are suggestions to ensure your child receives the best possible care. 

Need to cancel or reschedule?

• Please call us at 773.880.4346 at least 24 hours in advance. It helps us, and it helps other families receive timely care.

Before the appointment

• Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Bring with you

• Your child's glasses.
• Medication prescribed previously for your child.
• Medical records and reports from other doctors or hospitals.

During the appointment

• Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours with us.

• Your child may receive dilation drops. It takes between 30 to 60 minutes for dilating drops to work before the doctor can examine your child.
• Your child may be first seen by an orthoptist (a certified non-physician specialist trained in the evaluation of vision and ocular motility).

• Full payment for services is collected on the day of the visit.
• Visit fees range from $85 to $185.
