Pediatric heart transplant volumes

The Pediatric Heart Transplant Program at Children's Memorial is the largest and most comprehensive program of its kind in Illinois. Our program boasts exceptional first-year survival rates and has impressive longer-term recovery, with most patients experiencing no limitations to normal childhood activity just one year after surgery.

Figure 1: This graph represents the number of pediatric heart transplants performed by Children's Memorial Hospital on all patients from January 2003 through August 9, 2011. Find more information on transplant volumes on the UNOS site.
