Little Heroes Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation

Little Heroes is a non-profit, affiliated organization of Children's Memorial hospital that is fighting for a cure against neuroblastoma, a unique form of pediatric cancer. Our mission is twofold: to raise money and awareness in the battle against this pediatric cancer and to provide a resource for families and hope for those affected by this terrible disease.

Little Heroes was formed in 1997 in honor of Steven Newkirk who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at age 5. Sadly, like most children diagnosed with aggressive neuroblastoma, Steven lost his courageous battle 2-1/2 years after his diagnosis. Our work is dedicated to his memory and to honor all children fighting for survival against this disease.

Little Heroes supports research to help all children and their families struggling against the odds. Our efforts directly support ongoing research into new treatments and a better understanding of neuroblastoma. We also strive to increase public awareness and most importantly, honor the courage and spirit of all afflicted children and their families.
