Library registration

Registration is required for library patrons wishing to borrow materials and request library services.

Interlibrary loan

Materials not owned by the library may be borrowed from other institutions. Standard turnaround time is six days. Clinical emergencies and patient care requests can be obtained the same day.

Literature searches

Literature searches by librarians can be performed upon request. Average turnaround time is 24 hours. Library staff can also help patrons perform their own literature searches.

Table of contents service

The library distributes e-mail table of contents for journals requested by physicians and hospital staff.

Morning report and rounds

A librarian frequently attends morning report and various department rounds and performs literature searches related to pertinent cases.
