Modern Healthcare again names Children's Memorial "one of the 100 best places to work in healthcare"
Sept. 10, 2009 - Children’s Memorial Hospital has been named one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare by business magazine, Modern Healthcare for the second year in a row. More than 300 healthcare companies participated in the survey. Only 34 of the organizations on last year’s list made it again in 2009. The magazine reveals specific rankings of the 100 best in its Oct. 28 edition.
Modern Healthcare conducted this program to recognize outstanding employers in the healthcare industry on the national level. Employees were randomly selected for an extensive survey on hospital policies, compensation and benefits, turnover data, communication processes and demographics. Eight core areas were analyzed including leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, training and development, and pay and benefits.
Children's Memorial has long recognized the needs of its employees through company-wide benefits and programs to ensure retention and advancement. It also focuses on flexible scheduling, part-time hours, and an innovative child and elder care program.
