Skylight TV: our own television station

Skylight TV is our closed-circuit, interactive television station. Broadcast from the Skylight Studio in the Janice and Kimbery Brown Family Life Center, Skylight TV is available in patient rooms on channel 16.

Skylight TV produces four live shows every week: Body Parts, Hospital and Safety Bingo, Storytime with Dot and Morning Jam with Jim. In addition to live programs, Skylight TV airs videos throughout its programming day. As another alternative to commercial TV, Skylight also offers Channel 14, with classical music and soothing images of marine life from the Shedd Aquarium. Skylight TV has produced numerous videos related to hospitalization and health care.

In the past, special guests have included Yo Yo Ma, Lance Armstrong, Venus & Serena Williams, Amy Grant, Ronald McDonald, the Harlem Globetrotters, professional children's performers and stars from Chicago's professional sports teams.
