A major pediatric teaching hospital
Children's Memorial affiliated with Northwestern University Medical School, now the Feinberg School of Medicine, in 1946, and the school's Department of Pediatrics has been based at Children's Memorial ever since. All of our full-time medical staff (and many community-based doctors) hold faculty appointments at Feinberg.
A nationally recognized nursing staff
The skill and dedication of our nurses earned us designation as the first ANCC Magnet hospital in Illinois, and the first freestanding children's hospital in the nation, to receive the prestigious Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence.
